This Weekend at Disneyland: Signs of Spring

It's still only late February, but it seemed more like spring at Disneyland this past weekend!

With the Disneyland Railroad out of commission this year due to the construction of Star Wars Land, a train with the famous Lilly Belle car at the end is currently parked to receive visitors at the Main Street Train Station.

Disneyland doesn't go all out with Valentine's Day decorating, but nods to the recent holiday could still be found in Town Square:

Disneyland's gardeners have been busy! The flowers at the Hub in the center of the park are simply gorgeous right now:

Always a favorite view:

The Rivers of America are still and quiet right now due to Star Wars Land construction:

Classic attraction posters are featured along a construction wall:

Some Disney fans have questioned whether this poster for a long-gone Frontierland attraction hints at a possible return of sorts when the Disneyland Railroad returns:

Over in Disney California Adventure, it's expected that the new Luigi's ride will soon begin cast previews, with an anticipated March opening.

Finally, I love the retro design on these cocoa tins!

Have a great week!

How I would love to make a return visit there. It's been nearly 16 years.....

Wouldn't it be fun if you could make a return trip to CA, Jerry?!

Disneyland is such a great confluence of theme park, movies, film music, and more all in one location.

Best wishes,
Laura

I've been able to make it there once a week during their AP days for February. Going again this Thursday. I noticed last week how the pink trees by the partner statue are blooming once again. I wonder what happened to Winter? LOL

Good to hear from you, Irene! I'm starting to wonder if the promised El NiƱo rainy winter was all a joke!

Best wishes,
Laura

Such lovely pictures! My family made it over there last Friday... except we barely made it out of Tomorrowland!! We briefly forayed over to the Carousel and tea cups and Small World, but it was night already by that point, so I missed all the gorgeous flowers. Otherwise, we were in Tomorrowland the whole time. It was a very unusual trip to Disneyland for us, but we just couldn't help reveling in all the Star Wars stuff, from just sitting around listening to the music to seeing the "Paths of the Jedi" film multiple times, to spending hours in the Star Wars Launch Bay place, to watching the two Stormtroopers being stormtroopers. We had a grand time. In fact, I'd meant to get over to Adventureland because there is an Indiana Jones mug I really want, but... it just didn't happen. Next time! I hope the mug is still there.

Hi Deb!

That sounds like a wonderful evening! And it's one of the delights of having passes -- being able to focus on different things on any given visit without feeling like you have to do everything all in one day. :)

Hope you get your mug...and hopefully this will be the year we meet up out there! :)

Best wishes,
Laura
