Today at Disneyland: Birthday!

Our youngest son's birthday is tomorrow, and we started the celebration by meeting friends today at Disneyland.

Beautiful spring flowers at Town Square:

We took a fun ride on the Jungle Cruise:

It was a gorgeous day, although we found the park was unusually crowded -- perhaps because some areas have spring breaks this week instead of closer to Easter. We had a wonderful time but we didn't mind leaving by mid-afternoon and escaping the crowds. Thanks to having passes, we know there will be more days to enjoy in the future!

I read on a thread under Disneyland Resort on MiceChat that the park reached capicity today. There are conventions in the area, plus Spring Break and something else that I can't remember which all culminated in the crowds. I'm taking a girl from school on Monday. We had a fund raiser and she won a day at Disneyland with me :)

Thanks for the info, Irene! I can believe it reached capacity. We were amazed it took us 20 minutes just to crawl through the parking structure line this morning. Usually weekday mornings, even in spring, aren't crowded like that.

My husband is taking our son out about 7:00 a.m. to hopefully beat the crowds to get in line and renew his annual pass with the birthday discount.

Have fun next week!

Best wishes,
Laura
