Beauty and the Beast TV Series Coming to DVD

The relatively short-lived but highly regarded, fondly remembered TV series BEAUTY AND THE BEAST is coming to DVD next February. The show, which aired from 1987 to 1990, starred Linda Hamilton, Ron Perlman, Roy Dotrice, and the late Edward Albert.

If BEAUTY AND THE BEAST is coming to DVD, perhaps there is hope for HOMEFRONT, which has many fans eagerly waiting for its release on DVD. If HOMEFRONT leading man Kyle Chandler's new show FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS catches on, perhaps that will increase the chances of a HOMEFRONT release.

If you're one of those longing to see HOMEFRONT again, you can go to Homefront on DVD and sign the petition.

I loved the Beauty and the Beast TV Show but had forgotten all about it. Glad to see it is coming out.

Just purchased the DVD of Creature Comforts Season 2. It came out Tuesday October 24 with no fanfare. Only two copies at Best Buy stuck away on the shelf; not even under new releases. Nick Park of Wallace and Gromit fame is behind this one and it is very British and very funny. Now I have to find Season 1 which I never knew had been released. Can't buy it on line - we are a no credit card family.

I'm not familiar with Creature Comforts, will have to check it out.

Your credit card stance is admirable! I often use a Visa "check card" for my online purchases -- it provides the same protection against fraud, etc., if the card is used wrongly, yet the money comes directly out of my checking account and doesn't result in a credit card bill. Might enable you to take advantage of some of the good online deals out there for classic TV. :)

Best wishes, Laura

Well, I will admit that my daughter has one of those. She does not carry it with her but we use it to pay her city college tuition fees for each semester online and we have used it for rare internet purchases. But they have to be items that we can only get online and are VIP items. A DVD doesn't qualify under those rules :)

Yes, we are happy to be a debt free family thanks mostly to my husband and his "owe no man" philosophy!
